About me

Hi! My name is Shelly, welcome to my lil scrap spot blog!
As you can tell it is really about scrapbooking for me. I love scrapbooking! I am so very very passionate about creating a lasting legacy for generations to come to view. Its hit me extra hard in the last year as I became a grandmother twice over. I have a beautiful grandson named Braedan and gorgeous granddaughter named Kyleigh. While I was raising my children, I never thought there could ever be a better feeling then being a mom, and then the most wonderful thing happened. My daughter gave me a grandson. I have never in my life felt anything like this. It is the most wonderful feeling on earth. Then later that same year, my oldest son gave me a granddaughter. Oh how could my heart hold anymore love!!
I have had an amazing time.
I love my family and friends passionatly. I wouldnt trade anything for them, yes we have some bad times, but its all worth it.
I hope you like the posts I create here and will come back and share things with me also.

Last Post for Sunday

Yes I promise this will be my last post today! I took the time this afternoon to sit with my husband and our very spoiled shih tzu Zeus outside just enjoying the weather, and our yard. I love being outdoors. I guess thats why I really despise winter so much. It's too cold to go out and do anything. I love the warm weather!!

To go along with my "camping, outdoors" theme today, I made 2 cute cards that coordinate with my layouts from earlier today. Both card recipes come from CTMH Wishes Card Card Program

For the both cards the products you will need are:
My Reflections Back Country Level 2 Paper Pack
My Stickease Assortment Level 2 Back Country embellishments
Barn Red Ink
Outdoor Denim Ink
Olive Ink
Field Trip Alphabet Stamp Set
Backwoods Stamp Set
Campin Fever Stamp set
Pop dots

Card 1 dimensions 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"
1 pc Olive Cardstock cut to 4 1/2" x 9", folded in half to make a top fold card base.
A. 1 pc Barn Red cardstock cut to 1 1/2" x 4 1/2"
B. 1 pc of the Striped B&T Duos patterned paper cut to 2" x 4 1/2"
C. 1 pc of Colonial White cardstock cut to 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".
To prepare your pieces for assembly:
1. Using the Barn Red ink pad, stamp the period from the Field Trip Alphabet Stamp Set twice on pc C in the top left corner.
2. Using Outdoor Denim ink pad, stamp the "Great Outdoors" sentimen from the Campin' Fever stamp set on pc C in top right hand corner.
3. Sponge Barn Red Ink onto edges of piece A.
4. Sponge Outdoor Denim Ink onto edges of piece B and the "mountains" from My Stickease Assortment.
5. Spnge Olive ink on edges of piece C.
Now to assemble:
1.Attach piece A to the center of piece B, keeping the sides flush.
2. Attach piece B to the card front, placing it 1 1/4" from the top, keeping the sides flush.
3. Attach piece C to the card front, placing it 1/2" from the top and 1/8" from the right edge.
4. Add your mountain to front of card overlapping A, B and C.
5. Using Barn Red Ink, stamp the tree trunks from the Backwoods Stamp Set.
6. Using Olive Ink, stamp the tree tops from the Backwoods Stamp Set.
7. On a scrap piece of Colonial White, stamp the "Evergreen" Tree in the same manner as above, trim and adhere with pop dots over the tree you stamped directly on the card.
Your card is now ready for a message from you to be sent to your loved one!

Card number 2:
Dimensions are 8" x 3 1/2"
